Pics tell the story. Money spent for a plot of dying yellow flowers.
Last year we had some color. I'm giving up my meadow project as it is a lot of work for little return not to mention the cost of the seed!
Update - Upon corresponding with customer service, they offered a resolution that was more than fair. I'll continue with my meadow project and hope for the best. Many thanks to those assisting me.
$200.00 for "Pure Seed" - 13 varieties of Deer Resistant and Northeast mixes and I have a nice plot of Yellow and little else.
Rich soil tilled with my Troy Bilt Horse planted properly and the results are dismal at best. Selling the tiller and so much for a wildflower meadow. Not my first rodeo. I was a professional landscaper out of high school and had my own business for almost 20 years. Last year we had some color and the "new" plot is showing some as well (second photo) but I've no hope as the seed blends were for all intents the same. Not worth my effort.

Hello Mark. Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We’re sorry to hear the mixes did not perform as expected, especially given your preparation. For future reference, planting wildflower seeds too densely can actually lead to poor results. Overcrowding often causes faster-growing species to dominate, reducing overall diversity. It can also result in weaker plants, less blooming, and unnecessary seed waste. We’re glad our Customer Service Team was able to issue store credit, and we truly appreciate the time you took to provide insight. We want you to have beautiful flowers and can't wait to see your results as your project continues!
I planted as recommended in my area. First year only part of the seeds grew the following year (late may) I have only found 3 flowers. Every other wild flowers outside of our property is in full bloom. These are the deer resistant flowers and yes the deer did not eat them last year. Very disappointed. I won't buy again. I'm beginning to think they were alfalfa seeds because I now how an alfalfa patch where there was never alfalfa.

I got this mix and it was wonderful. Bloomed from spring until frost. Deer hated it. Beautiful colors.
I planted these seeds early last spring for an August garden wedding. They were a show stopper and in October they are still blooming. I will order them again.
We ordered 50 FIFTY pounds of seed and I had such high hopes! We followed the instructions. We bush hogged low, sprayed with roundup, waited 2 weeks (everything was dead). We purchased a new rototiller to go behind our tractor and rototilled on the high setting to just disturb the soil enough to spread the seed and took an empty roller to press down the seed. Best spring ever! Lots of great rain. I was out there every day looking. I had the little white flowers coming up and some straw flowers as well as black eyed Susans. I assumed there would be more coming along but all I got was grass. It just kept growing and choked out almost everything. I could just cry. I hope others have better luck. It won't allow me to submit a photo?

So far, the seeds really aren't growing. Weeded, created a good seed bed, covered with top soil, watered. Very few plants are growing.... I think it was thousands of seeds.... So far, no real growth.
2nd yr with the mixed wildflowers and they're are doing there job and making my yard beautiful. I planted a row out back this year and so far so good. My other plants and borders are still a salad bar for the critters, but I've ordered a full size coyote decoy to keep the deer out for good. Fingers crossed!
Purchased 10 lbs, prepared the ground, was mindful of every step to insure great results.. first season only a single type grew and now in season 2 it’s even less. I’d consider a different source for seeds as this mix was mostly duds and an expensive disappointment.
I planted this mix in mid October in Zone 8b, coastal NC. It has done beautifully and has great cold tolerance (to lower 20’s so far). Will have a ton of spring flowers to look forward to. The columbine has just started to sprout within the last few weeks. The bachelor buttons and poppies germinated right away. They shaded the other seeds and allowed them to germinate (we had a very late frost and warm fall). The only thing I have not seen germinate yet is the foxglove, but I sowed the mix too thickly and they may have been shaded out.
Planted this mix as a garden per directions in the fall of 2022. The first season (2023) was a bit sparse but had a nice variety of godetia, cornflower, poppy, candytuft, black eyed susan, and blanket flower. This 2024 season has filled in a lot and brought forget me not, candytuft, blanket flower, cornflower, coreopsis, yarrow, and black eyed susan. The blanket flower just started blooming a second time this year. We haven't yet seen columbine, foxglove, lupine, or purple coneflower. Wondering how we maintain this garden in terms of deadheading, mowing, etc. Looks like quite a mess at this point as the cornflower stalks and others are dead and becoming very unsightly. What do we do now and in the fall?
I planted this seed in the fall and covered with straw. Looked forward to seeing lots of flowers. But only the blue cornflower and a few of the candytuft and poppies came up! I have full sun there, and was careful to prepare the soil so extremely disappointed.

I planted my deer resistant wildflower mix late in the summer and never thought I would see much growth until spring. I was happily surprised to see such a lush growth of flowers so quickly. When the first blue Bachelor Buttons started blooming, I was very excited and didn't worry that I would lose them because my mix is deer resistant-or so I thought. One day, I noticed that all the buds that I was so hopeful would make a nice array of blue flowers, were disappearing. On closer inspection, they had been topped off. Then, I saw two deer nibbling away the following day. I politely asked them to leave and they did so but now, they wait until they think I'm not looking and show up again with their friends! I'm disappointed but what can I say? I love the deer as well. I just hope that come spring and summer, they find other things to love-probably my pumpkins!

I planted the deer resistant wildflower mix in October 2 022. I had a dense carpet of bachelor buttons sprinkled with a nice array of California poppy. Aside from that I only had the occasional two or three other flowers. I was disappointed that I didn’t see all the colors/flowers I should have gotten. Guess I’ll wait till the spring and see if anything new pops up.

In previous years I've purchased wildflower mixes locally and have had beautiful results with a wide assortment of flowers. I thought I would step it up this year and ordered from Eden. Very disappointing. Bachelor buttons, a few black eyed Susans, thistles and a few other flowers. Very few and far between. What I did get was a lot of grass! It might be some kind of prairie grass, I don't know, but I thought I was buying wildflowers.

I purchased 1/4lb and planted in mid February here in NC. I’ve only had black eye Susan’s, some yarrow, and two others. We have lots of deer and this year more rabbits. I suspect the rabbits are eating a lot of this as I find empty stems. My bed looks for like weeds right now.

I love this mix! I planted a patch in the Fall after first frost and it gave me a great head start. I also planted another patch in the Spring that's doing just as well.
It's been left completely untouched by wildlife, which is so hard to achieve in my area.
It's a continuing show of flowers. I can't wait to see all the perennials flowering in the 2nd year next year.
I purchased the Deer resistant Wildflower Mix 5 lbs. I used it all in a 200 s/f area. I wanted dense . That is exactly what I got. I sowed them in Early March. Now is the first part of June and they are doing very well. Will buy more for sowing in the Fall.
I purchased a 1/4 lb packet of deer resistant wildflower mix in April 2021. I took a handful and threw them around an old stump we feed birds on as soon as I got them. By late summer we had a lot of daisys and some small yarrow come up. I was impressed but was hoping to see more variety. I prepared a larger area around the stump and put more down in late fall. The next spring I saw everything except forget me nots. Seems the daisys just had the easiest time getting started. This year the area is is growing in nicely and the plants have large leaves and look healthy. It does help to cut the seeds with sand when sowing. I plan on purchasing more packs for gifts when my friends get their garden areas ready.
I planted the deer resistant wildflower mix last fall, following ground prep instructions, etc. All I have seen this spring is bachelor buttons. :( But they are going like gangbusters! I paid a lot for bachelor buttons.

Planted last year and held my breath as the deer and feral hogs were having feasts in all yards. these seeds did great and bloomed for six months. They are now low and green preparing to start sprouting blooms this year!!!
This year was my 4th season/planting. I keep expanding the planting area each year. I love this mix. it is perfect for my 8700ft elevation yard located in the foothills of Denver. Deer and elk don't bother so I get to enjoy blooms along with the wildlife vs watching the deer/elk eating the blooms. Thank you!
I am new to the mountain region of Southern Colorado so wanted to do a trial run on plantings this year. Chose to start with this mix and so far the plants are looking healthy and I am pleased. Put these seeds in large planter boxes on a huge retaining wall that we have to try to keep the access from wildlife to a minimum. Checked this morning when I watered and I have buds on some of the plants. Looking forward to seeing what happens next. Hoping for some color from the mix in the next few weeks.
When I ordered these "deer resistant " seeds, I have to admit that I had an eye brow raised concerning the validity of this claim. BUT,the deer agreed with this message! They have completely ignored these beauties! Hallelujah! I can enjoy both the deer and the flowers! I'm ready to take another chance with this product in a back pasture.
The deer resistant wildflower seeds are terrific. Each season or location different wildflowers come up, making them fun to watch. Foxgloves and lupines right now. A great solution instead of weeds. I will keep buying them!
I am very happy with my first seed purchase from Eden Brothers. Seeds are coming up now and I look foreword to seeing them in full bloom. Thanks for the great service and speedy delivery!!!
