Customer photo review of Bearded Iris Bulbs - 45 Days of Red Bloom

I ordered and planted these very late last fall at half price so I'm not sure I got the best of the rhizomes. So far only 1 of the 4 has bloomed. I know at least one didn't survive and it may be my fault (poor drainage). *However*,Play With Fire bloomed and it is spectacular. It has so many stalks and has bloomed steadily at least a month now. I'm in Zone 10B so it has bloomed from May through late June. It looks exactly like its name - a flame surrounded by red embers. So, overall, the purchase was worth it because this might be my favorite iris in the garden. The other 2 remaining are still growing but did not spread like Play with Fire. Maybe next year?
