    Very sparse, disappointed.

Bee Balm Seeds - Wild Bergamot

Store owner replied: Hello Debbie B. Thank you for your review of Eden Brothers! We truly appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Feedback like yours is invaluable, as it helps us continually improve our products and planting information. Bee Balm (Wild Bergamot) seeds, planted later in the season, often struggle because the plants don’t have enough time to establish before the intense summer heat and dry conditions set in. This perennial germinates best in cooler, consistently moist soil, and late sowing makes it harder to keep the surface damp enough for reliable sprouting. Even if seedlings emerge, the quick transition to hot, dry weather can stress young plants and stunt their growth. For stronger results, it’s best to sow earlier in spring or provide extra water and protection while the seedlings are getting established. After checking in with our Customer Service Team, it looks like we were able to offer a resolution for you. Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts with us and hope you have better results going forward!

I have this near roses but plan on a move because every single mature leaf is covered with mildew! The location is very well draining. Would love to have some guidance for this problem. At present plan locating them near rudbeckia as they are mentioned as companion plants.

Store owner replied: Hello Joy. Thank you for your review of Eden Brothers! We are sincerely sorry to hear that your Bee Balm - Wild Bergamot has this issue! We reached out to find an order with us and to share some tips, but wanted to make sure we gave ample opportunity to resolve this issue. Powdery mildew is a common issue with Wild Bergamot (Monarda fistulosa), especially in humid or stagnant air conditions. Even though your soil is well-draining, air circulation is just as crucial in preventing mildew. Moving them to another location, and or treating the plant can be helpful. Feel free to reach out by phone, Monday through Friday from 9am - 5pm Eastern time at 855-440-2929, or by email at service@edenbrothers.sbs. We hope these tips help, but we are here if you'd like more guidance!
