Customer photo review of Black Eyed Susan Seeds - Cherry Brandy

Started from seed in March, flowering in July! I wasn't sure about the color at first, but it had been very overcast when the first flowers opened and they were more brown/orange, but with more sunshine in the forcast they became more red over time. It's definitely a warm red, not far off from the example picture. I recommend these seed for anyone wating more fun black eyed susans in their life. I am hoping they come back next year even better! I will update with details if they do. I know some black eyed susans are more reliable perrenials than others. Fingers crossed!

These seeds germinated at a low rate despite starting them indoors. We ended up with 4 successful seedlings that have survived transplanting. Even though the real bloom color isn't as pictured, we actually like it even more. Instead of all cherry, the blooms are cherry in the center with orange tips. I would have given 5 stars if accurately pictured and if the seeds had a more successful germ rate.

These were very slow to germinate. I live in zone 9b so I had to put them in the refrigerator for cold stratification for about a month. After I planted the seeds, I didn't think anything was going to happen because for weeks, nothing was sprouting. After about a month, I finally started seeing some growth and now they're pretty established I think. I look forward to seeing the beautiful flowers they produce! Sometimes we just gotta be patient and maybe things will work out
