Customer photo review of California Poppy Seeds - Purple Gleam

Fun little blooms but hard to germinate. Tried the ice cube trick because none of my scattering in fall worked as directed. Got some June blooms to show but only two plants out of a whole pack!

California Poppy Seeds - Purple Gleam

I purchased a whole spectrum of Poppy Colors and unfortunately even this one, that I bought the large pack and was o hopeful and spread to my friend's yard~None of it sprouted. I am zone 10. We had a lot of rain and sun~ back an forth so I was really hopefully as the climate was perfect. I tried in every type of soil and sun, sun/shade etc. just to see some success. This whole pouch must've been a dud.

The seeds were packaged well for delivery. Shortly after receiving them, I prepared to soils to sow the seeds and they have sprofited quickly. The seeds have not flowered yet, but I am really looking forward to seeing those cute little flowers. My daughter and I have enjoyed the poppy flowers over the years here in Utah.
