I was really set to enjoy this corn but I would not purchase again. It ripens early and is beautiful, the ears are full of kernels, but if this heirloom variety is where sweet corn started we've certainly improved the taste through the years. The taste was disappointing to say the least. I know corn isn't the most nutritious for us, full of carbohydrates and really a treat to be enjoyed sparingly. I usually allow myself the luxury of some sweet corn in our diet every year but our calves will be enjoying the rest of our corn as it is very bland and not sweet at all. I don't think it is worth investing the time and effort to freeze it. I will not order this type again.
