Live in Colorado in a high mountain valley at 8000 feet elevation zone 5A – B. I didn’t have very high expectations for these tubers since it is very, very dry and very windy and the UV intensity is crazy up here, but they did very well in containers despite the unrelenting heat this summer. I kept them thoroughly watered. I probably could’ve fed them a little bit more regularly, but they did very well and it’s only just now in early October they’ve started to drop off. I will definitely be purchasing Dahlia’s next year and getting more containers to put them in. I would have liked more pink flowers in this mix. Mine were mostly yellow.
These are really really beautiful! Just a bit bummed that one tuber didn't make it and that it appears I got two of the muchacha variety and no bicardi or night silence.

Beatrice was my favorite flower of the season, but I had mixed results with the rest. Overall not great quality tubers this year, not nicely trimmed and divided like they had in the past. I got one or two of the pink ones to grow, but definitely not all 5. (Light pink ones in photo were a different mix)

This is the second time in the last few years that I've ordered and grown the "old rose mix". Both times, I have received mystery dahlias in the mix. Not only do I not know what they are, but I don't like them, and will not keep them. The first one pictured is red-yellow dahlia, and the second one is very orangey-red, not like any of the dahlias listed in the offering. There are a few that have buds but haven't bloomed yet. I'm hoping they are correct... looking forward to 'Night Silence' in particular. I also purchased 'Cornel' and 'Cornel Bronze' and they are correct. I'm hoping that the bundle is not just a way to get rid of unwanted dahlias.

I bought these to grow for my wedding bouquet. Every tuber planted bloomed and bloomed perfectly on time for late September. Sprouting tubers survived uncovered when we got an unexpected june frost! They were covered for all September nights below 40 just to be safe and survived several good frosts - sub 30 temps. The pictures on the website make there colors look more muted than they actually were. Turns out the real colors were even more amazing!! I had enough for my bouquet and 30 bud vases for all our tables
These tubers were mostly in good condition but did come in small clumps instead of single tubers. They were not individually labeled.
I had the same issue as other 2023 reviewers, the dahlias bloomed and were pretty, but they were not the varieties listed in the mix- after scouring the internet, dahlia books, and other reviews I believe I received Brown Sugar, American Dawn, and Bacardi.

So old rose is one of each of five very specific varieties. I did get 5 healthy plants out of my 5 tubers, and most of them were in the listed collection. Unlabeled, it was a guessing game, but customer service was very helpful; gave me names for my photographs, and when it turned out one was not in the collection, they made me a nice deal, so, good show! All the varieties; including the one not in the collection, were winners on the display table. I will be buying from Eden Brothers again.
The planting process was simple enough, but some of the plants didn’t grow large enough to produce any blooms. I’m digging up the tubers to try again next year.
The colors I was hoping to get from the bouquet images listed are not what I got! Much brighter and more saturated, but I was hoping for darker, muted tones. I believe I had one tuber that did not belong in the mix, as it was a red/yellow mixed bloom. The ones that did bloom are beautiful, and I will keep growing, they are just not what I thought I was buying.

I did not have great luck with the grouped Dahlias I bought from Eden this year. I purchased multiple dahlias but the Antique Blush mix and the Old Rose mix did not do well. Out of this mix(10 bag), I only ended up with 6 viable tubers. I had 3 great Beatrice, a Muchacha(I think the color was a bit more purple than expected so not sure it was the correct variety), and 2 Caitlyns Joy. The rest were duds and one was diseased. The other mix of 10 was about the same, 6 viable out of the 10. But unfortunately of only two out of the 3 varieties.

I am mostly happy with the growth and blooms on 4 out of the 5 tubers in this mix. Had the tubers been labeled, I may have been able to tell which should be placed in the front of my flowerbed. Unfortunately the one that I placed behind two others is a shorter variety and it didn't bloom due to lack of sunshine. The flowers are pretty but I'm unsure if I received the correct tubers that were supposed to be in this mix. As mentioned by others, I can only positively identify Beatrice.
They are so easy to take care. I put some of tubers in a big pot, some of them in ground. They are all so happy. They just keep blooming from summer. The only thing need to be careful is to use some sticks or fence to give them some support.
None of the tubers came with labels; they were all mixed together. Two came with no visible eyes, I planted them anyway as they could hide, but only 3 of the five came up, my initial hunch being correct. Frustrating as I only purchased this for Night Silence, which I couldn't find anywhere. Now, with what I know was Night Silence ever in the mix? Tubers were not large and meh quality, shrunken.
Of the three that did come up, one I believe is American Dawn (I wrote Bacardi on the whiteboard before I came inside to research), one I believe is Brown Sugar, and one is a mystery.
The point is, what is advertised is NOT what you get.

I took one star off because one of my tubers didn't sprout. I took another star off because what I got was a complete and total surprise, not at all what was listed on the item description. I didn't take off more stars because the tubers that have sprouted and bloomed are healthy and produced beautiful blooms. I got really lucky because these colors are gorgeous! I've done my own research and I think I have: Brown Sugar, American Dawn and Senior's Hope. I also got Beatrice, which is supposed to be in this collection.
We were sent 4 mislabeled tuber clumps. I grow 50 plus varieties of dahlias. Two that I received are diseased, mishapen and attract bugs much more than my other dahlias so they will be thrown away. See those at the top of the photos. Beatrice was labeled correctly and the two others (I think American Dawn and Brown Sugar) look great. I did not order them but will keep them.
What is your policy? Will you refund or provide an exchange?

First time I have planted these kind of dahlias and they are absolutely beautiful! II plan on buying more now for 2024 year. I hope I can save this years for next year planting.

Beyond thrilled!! I haven’t had good luck with my tubers this year. But these are flourishing! Every tuber came right up and are doing amazing.
Impossible to have received close to the 5 varieties. As you can see, the tubers are from only TWO mothers. They are all that was in the bag. Where is the quality control??? For the amount it cost, I could've sourced these individually & still received the true mix ASSUREDLY without this unlabeled, innacurate, raffle of an "assortment".

Overall I have been happy with the dahlias, and their production, however Beatrice was the only variety listed that I actually got. The others are not the variety listed so I have been left without ones that I hoped to get and spent two years mislabeling what I was growing.

What can you say about Dalia's? They are a stunning flower and this mix of color is so gorgeous.
First of all, I planted these bulbs late as filler in our dahlia garden. Some blank spaces where our bulbs had not come up after dividing last fall. These are not only gorgeous colors and shapes, but they came up as though they had lived here forever! The best sized bulbs I have found and beautiful.

They are all beautiful and love the surprise of the new colors as they start to bloom.
Do not buy. out of all, only two have shown their heads. I don’t know which ones came up. It would be absolutely fabulous if you sent me another group of bulbs. I passed by them this morning and still only two. The rest have not shown any sign of coming up. Great soil mixture, watered every few days, full sun. No animals to dig and chew on. Please send me another set!! I am disappointed in the results , and lost money, which no one can afford at this time. Betty Bates

Last year I planted the bulbs from old rose mix and waited to see them bloom. Unfortunately only three of the five grew and only one of the three was what was listed in the group. I have no idea what they actually are because none of them were labeled. All five tubers came in one sack with no labels. This experience is beyond frustrating. I would have loved to get the flowers listed but it didn't happen. Plus there was also leafy gall on a couple of other tubers I received from them. I will never again trust Eden Brothers with dahlia orders. I have learned my lesson. Now that I know so much more than I did last year I realize how bad ordering dahlias from here is.

First off, I want to mention that I love buying from Eden brothers I have had great success with their seeds and corms. However, my dahlias that I purchase were a different story. I purchased 3 different dahlia collections including this one and only 1 dahlia plant out of each collection sprouted and did well. I forgot that I even purchased these from Eden’s garden because I purchased a lot of dahlias that growing season. What brought this back to memory was me trying to order the same collections this year only to find I ordered them two years ago on my account. Such a bummer because they are an investment they are not cheap.

I came to purchase these tubers this year for my garden only to look at my account and find that I already purchased them 2 years ago. Which brought back to my remembrance that only one of these tubers were viable. They looked fine upon arrival, but when I planted them they didn’t grow, the only one that grew well was the pretty variegated dahlia. I remember thinking some of the tubers didn’t look like they had a viable eye, but planted them anyway. It wasn’t just this set that I bought, I purchased two other sets of dahlias from here in the same order and got pretty much the same results as I got with this set. One out of each collection I purchased sprouted and the others didn’t sprout at all. I’ve purchase from Eden brothers before this and have been so pleased and germination of my other purchases have been so great. Maybe this was a fluke order, but I completely forgot that I ordered them from EB because I ordered a lot dahlia tubers from other suppliers that year as well. I hate leaving bad reviews, but had to comment on these as I was just about to purchase another round only to remember how they performed for me a couple years back.

I so wish I had read reviews before purchasing the Decorative dahlias. I'm so concerned now of infected, poor quality. Replies from Eden are repetive and very unsatisfactory. Ugh

I know know if our hot summer created the problem, although I did put shade screens up during the hottest days. I get very few flowers, mostly the Muchacha - probably 6-7blooms, none of Beatrice.

Absolutely disappointing, I didn't get a single bloom and when I dug up the tubers for winter storage over half of them had leaf or crown gal.

What a disappointment after carefully tending these plants until the blooms finally opened, only to be surprised with totally different varieties than what is pictured in the photos on the website. I see this is a common problem according to other people's reviews. Don't know why I didn't read them before I ordered! This happened several times this spring/summer with varieties purchased from Eden Brothers. Sad. Twice the blooms were the correct color, but only single-petaled instead of the large and full dahlia variety I ordered. I cannot recommend these dahlias and won't be purchasing again. They are way too expensive to receive bogus products!
I planted according to color varieties and styles, so it was easy to see these weren't what they are advertised as.
First time planting dahlias in a yard that has been plant free for at least 5 years… all the tubers from this variety pack has gall (leafy gall). Some grew but after digging up this fall the Gall was discovered. It was so prolific that the leafy gall was falling off in clumps. Now I can’t plant in garden for at least 2 years without spread of gall.

Several of the dahlias I ordered last year came and were not viable, they were dried out with no eyes and usually the next broken. Those I did receive that were plantable, specifically the mixes were incorrect. I ordered Old Rose Mix and none of the tubers in that package were what is supposed to be in that mix. Overall tuber quality is poor and they don't store well through the winter. I won't buy from here again.

I’ve transferred all my bulbs into the garden after have been growing beautifully in my sun room. All of my bulbs took and now are beautifully green with flowers starting to form! Very happy
Like other reviewers, my flowers did not match the listed varieties or the picture posted by Eden brothers. I have stored the bulbs tubers for the winter, but could not label them :(
I like the other reviewers suggestion of sending pictures to Eden brothers for assistance and will do this. Since I have spent many hours trying to figure out what I have, the tubers were unlabeled, and only four of the five germinated, I plan to buy individual dahlia varieties in the future rather than collections.
