    Overall rating: 2.4 / 5 from 7 reviews.

Dahlias are not easy to store over winter and are apparently tough to get to germinate. Only about 50% of what we bought germinated and some in the package were totally dry and hollow (dead)

Store owner replied: Hello Duane B. Thank you for sharing your experience with this mix and we are sorry this happened. Healthy dahlia tubers generally sprout reliably once planted in warm, well-draining soil, although a mid-June planting in Zone 6 does provide a shorter growing season. Dahlias can also be successfully overwintered, but they need to be lifted after frost and stored in a cool, dark, frost-free storage with enough humidity to prevent excessive drying without encouraging rot. You then can get them planted again a bit earlier next spring. We are glad we were able to provide a resolution, and if you ever receive tubers that appear damaged or unhealthy, please contact us as soon as possible so we have the opportunity to help while seasonal inventory is still available. We always want our customers to have the best products from the start, so you can enjoy all the expected beautiful blooms!

I followed the instructions but these never grew or bloomed. I’m pretty disappointed to have wasted money on these. I usually don’t have any complaints with my orders and have had a lot of success with their other seeds. However, these and another set of flower bulbs just never germinated.

This is the second year I've bought dahlia tubers from eden brothers. This year I bought almost 25 dahlia mixes, however, many of the varieties I received were different from the ones I've requested. Such plants are beautiful, but still I wish I had received the correct varieties instead; In this case I wanted Peaches, but it didn't arrive. it's a shame!

I have recently planted this mix , and I am becoming concerned that at least two of the 5 will not be producing anything. I am still holding out hope, but as of now its not looking good.

I ordered a couple of different variety packs receive them. The problem of no labeling was there. I did not like that but I planted them all and I one was a very abused so I called the company and he I told him I just needed the one Dahlia and he sent me all the dahlias again they came up this year and they were absolutely gorgeous so I love the dahlias just the labeling is it is a little live in issue. I like that.

This is my second year ordering a dahlia mix from Eden Brothers. The tubers come unlabeled again which makes it very difficult to identify them. Break Out, the one I was most looking forward to, did not bloom for me but I had no way of knowing until everything had bloomed. Of the four that did bloom, one is bright red and looks nothing like any of the named dahlias in the mix. I’m having trouble identifying the other three as they look very similar to each other. I’ve had great experiences with dahlia tubers from Eden Brothers but I am disappointing in this mix even though the blooms I do have are beautiful.

I’m so sad about this purchase. I ordered over 30 different tubers from various sellers this year. Every single one came as a single tuber that was clearly labeled. What I got from Eden’s was a really sad bag of clumps of tubers and not one of them is labeled so I have zero idea what I’m planting. I can’t speak to how well they will grow, but already I am super disappointed.
