Customer photo review of Dry Area Wildflower Seed Mix

We had to move for work/school but kept our property. I didn't want the garden to go to weeds, so I planted a bag each of the Dry Area Wildflowers and Burst of Bloom seeds and set it to water automatically. I planted late April and literally didn't touch it (or lay eyes on it) until early July. It exceeded my expectations! Some weeds grew, but the flowers did a great job growing and outcompeted most of them. There were so many happy bees and butterflies too!

    Dry Area Wildflower Seed Mix

Perhaps one of the most ridiculous purchases I’ve ever made in my life- not one seed germinated. Then I reached out to customer service only to receive a response- of a list of 20 questions on how I planted them, what time of year, where the moon was sitting in the sky- etc… but alas, it was just a fact finding mission to find me at fault for this $400 failure. I wouldn’t buy ANY seeds from this company. That is the review! 🖕🏻

    Dry Area Wildflower Seed Mix

Bloomed as expected in year one--looking forward to bigger blooms in year two!

    Dry Area Wildflower Seed Mix

The seed is in the sprouting stage, so I cannot rate the flower blooms color now. The germination rate looks great, the sprouts are doing all of the work as far as growing.

    Dry Area Wildflower Seed Mix

We've got california poppies glore. We got one mexican hat. Unfortunately none of the other seeds germinated, that I could see, or grew. The area where I have planted them is truly "wild" and is dependent entirely on what Mother Nature provides in regard to water (rain).

    Dry Area Wildflower Seed Mix

The Dry Area Mix worked out well for me. I scattered the seeds in a small patch (44 square feet), watered them daily or thereabouts until the patch had pretty much turned green, and then left them alone for the entire summer. No watering. It became a wonderful, colorful flower bed and brought a lot of pleasure. I’m looking forward to next year's wildflower garden!

    Dry Area Wildflower Seed Mix

We bought a new construction home and moved in in June 2021. Instead of grass in our park strip I planted this mix combined with the western mix. We are now at the end of the second season and it has been a spectacular show of color from early spring with five spots and poppies until October with blanket flowers and cosmos and everything in between. The seeds were given to me by a friend who had them in a box in his garage for several years and I had very low expectations from them. I’ve loved every minute of it. They have earned our home the name “Wildflower House” because whenever we meet new neighbors on our walks we tell them we live in the wildflower house and they know exactly what we mean. People walk and drive by all the time and stop to enjoy the beauty. Thank you for such a great product.

    Dry Area Wildflower Seed Mix

My husband bought the mix for dry areas so we wouldn't need to water as much. Incredible. My husband tilled the soil and threw out the seeds. I have never seen such incredible blooms in my life. We are planting twice as much next year. The plants are over four feet tall and the blooms are incredible. I have never been more impressed with a purchase for our garden. I plan on purchasing several different items next year. Thanks for adding so much beauty to our yard.

    Dry Area Wildflower Seed Mix

I winter sowed these onto snow in January in an area that has dry, compacted soil. These flowers came up thick and tall! They give the soil the coverage it needs to hold onto moisture and keep the puncture vine at bay! I'll be buying again in the fall.

    Dry Area Wildflower Seed Mix

I have an apiary on my ranch and my goats eat most all of the wildflowers. So I have a fenced area with a small garden and orchard. I bought both this mix last fall and ran a plow around the inside of the fence and sprinkled these seeds in the furrow along with the Dry area mix. This spring I had a dense profusion of every kind of wildflower and the flowers lasted into July. We had a rainy spring and I'm sure that helped, but the mix worked wonderfully.

    Dry Area Wildflower Seed Mix

These wildflower seeds are terrific, Germination in four days and last year we had two separate flowerings, early spring and late summer. The mix is amazing; plants are quite high so one needs to plant with that in mind. Some were 2 feet tall but the Californian Poppies are much shorter. This year I ordered Poppies separately and they also germinated very quickly. We have had a very dry spring and almost no winter rain so I have watered the seed beds every three days. Hence the amazing germination rate.
