Customer photo review of Echinacea Roots - Cheyenne Spirit Mix

I’ve grown echinaceas from seed, and I have many around my house. I planted several roots, which were healthy and already had green on them; however, of the roots that actually took (4 out of 6), two of them ARE NOT echinacea, but instead some form of weed. I know the weeds came from the roots I purchased, because as I said, they were healthy and had green on them. You can see the slow growing echinacea on the right and this tall weed on the left.

Store owner replied: Hello Drew. Thank you for your review of Eden Brothers! We truly appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Feedback like yours is invaluable, as it helps us continually improve our products. Please know that our bare root stock is carefully inspected before shipping. Since this order was placed later in the season the heat and extra moisture could cause them to either rot out or go dormant. The weed seed could have been in the soil, as they thrive in the heat, unlike the roots that like it a bit cooler. After checking in with our Customer Service Team, it looks like we were able to assist you further. Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts with us and hope you have a beautiful growing season!

Beautiful, healthy root systems that grew immediately when planted in the spring. The colors are a variety, of one with a wine colored central cone & very vivid color, another a green/blue central cone that matured to yellow cone with white color, and the tallest a green cone that is getting some color along with the petals coloring in (not matured yet so not sure what it will be other than beautiful!)

Very, very slow to germinated. Other tubers planted at same time have already srpouted.
