Purple Cranesbill Geraniums have rich violet-blue, heavily veined flowers atop lobed foliage that turns red once the weather turns to fall. While they are a favorite amongst gardeners, deer tend to turn their noses up at geranium.
We guarantee that our seeds & bulbs will be true to type and ready to thrive. If something doesn't grow as expected, we will make it right. Questions? Call us at 855-440-2929
If you're willing to be patient, these are a great choice! I planted these 3 years ago. Their first two seasons, only the foliage grew. This past summer, WOW! They really took off! Lots of blooms and they add a great pop of color to the perennial bed in my front yard. My geraniums are grown in a partially shaded spot in zone 5.

Healthy roots to augment my existing bed of older cranesbill.
I have them in sun but dappled shade in the afternoon in huge pots. They take a while to get going but are very beautiful.
Be patient.

Hello Loralei D. Thank you for sharing your experience with us at Eden Brothers. Since these hardy geraniums establish best in cooler spring or fall weather, planting at the end of June, in your warmer area, likely exposed them to high summer heat before the roots had a chance to settle in. This stress can make it difficult for new plants to grow well. For your area, we recommend planting earlier in spring or waiting until fall for the best results going forward. From our follow-up with Customer Service, it looks like we were able to offer you a resolution, and we’re glad we could help. We value your input and thank you again for letting us know about this!
Usually our luck with perennials is about 50 50 whether what we plant will grow or not. We planted these 2 years ago in our outside perennial garden. They survived 2 winters outside here in northern NY and they look great! About the only thing I've done to them is plant them. I planted 3 together because like I said usually things die. I figured one would live. All 3 of them lived and look beautiful! I cut them down in the fall like everything else. I didn't use any mulch either. Hopefully I can get more to plant in one of the other perennial gardens we have.
I've ordered tons of products from this place and get a decent return. However, I ordered these roots with high hopes and planted them in a few different places to ensure life only for none of them to ever be seen. I hope that throughout the years, this product gets better.

I was really looking forward to this plant. I planted the roots in two different places just in case it liked one spot better. However nothing came up from any of them. The shipment looked good, just disappointed nothing came from them.

Nothing came up, planted full sun watered and nothing.
I also planted seedum roots purchased from here that arrived same time and got full growth on every plant.
Maybe possible some plants are just easier to grow from bare roots, had great success with seedum and astillbee but geranium not so much.

These did not germinate inside as I prepared them for outside planting. Expensive product for it not to produce. Disappointed.

I ordered 12 of these geranium roots and 4 of them produced leaves. No flowers this year but they look healthy enough that they may survive the winter. 5 roots produced leaves and then died. The other 3 roots never produced leaves. These are not healthy specimens and I would not recommend purchasing them. I live in zone 5. These roots were planted according to instructions.

Non of the roots ever sprouted. Started them in pots for better control . Did not help. Complete waist of money, time and effort.
