Customer photo review of Heirloom Flower Seed Mix

Love this mix! It has been so fun to see what will bloom next. I was not well after having Covid in late Winter and planted these in late spring. They germinated very fast and started blooming late July. Cali Bluebells were first to bloom, then coneflowers, yellow coreopsis, poppies and zinnias. The rest are still growing but almost ready to bloom. I only planted a few handfuls due to space constraints so this fall we will get the rest planted. They are nothing short of spectacular!

    Heirloom Flower Seed Mix

I’ve bought Eden Brothers wild flowers before, Northeast and birds/butterfly mix, and had great success but not withthe heirloom ones. . I cleaned the area out and sowed them last October and expected that I’d have flowers by May or June. I have nothing and nothing is growing. I also put them where I’d had previous success and I have flowers growing there, but as nothing in the new area, I suspect that they are returning perennials.

Store owner replied: Hello Neil. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are sorry this planting didn't produce the display you were expecting. This wildflower mix contains 75% annuals and the rest perennial species, so results can vary depending on planting season and growing conditions. While many of the perennials benefit from fall sowing, several of the annual flowers are typically more successful when planted in spring. In addition, germination can be affected by factors such as heavy rains, poor seed-to-soil contact, planting depth, or leaves covering the seed after sowing. Even when germination is successful, many perennial wildflowers devote their first season to establishing roots before producing a more impressive bloom display. We've reached out again today with growing information and a resolution, as we hadn't heard back from our earlier email.
