Introducing wildflowers to the landscape in Iowa comes with numerous advantages. Wildflowers in our Iowa Wildflower Seed Mix are not only beautiful, but they also contribute to the state’s biodiversity and define its unique landscapes, adding color, life, and ecological value to the Hawkeye State. Blooming wildflowers provide a burst of color, attracting pollinators such as bees and butterflies. Moreover, they contribute to a more robust and sustainable environment by minimizing the reliance on pesticides and fertilizers. While their blooming period may catch our attention, these flowers offer year-round benefits, extending beyond their delightful fragrances and vivid hues.

    Iowa Wildflower Seed Mix

If you are a beginning gardener, like I was, trying to add natives to your garden, this ain't it. The seeds grew well enough, and the patch is quite beautiful, but now, years later, I am tearing out huge patches to make way for things that are actually native in Iowa. Also, note that the varieties that *are* native here, like coneflower and coreopsis, can take three years before you actually see blooms. It's a good product, but it is misleadingly advertised, as it implies (but carefully does not state) that this is a native mix. Don't make the mistake I did.

This is my first year taking on gardening and decided to do a wildflower bed by my mailbox. absolutely gorgeous! they’re all blooming right now and I get so excited every day to come home and see different pops of color. All I did was plant and then watered every single day. The picture is when they were just about to bloom. **not all of the flowers in here are from this mix, just the majority**
