Store owner replied: Hello Joshue. Thank you for your review of Eden Brothers! We greatly appreciate you bringing this to our attention. It's so important to have feedback like this so we can continually improve our products and planting instructions. We usually recommend fall planting for this mix, as they are all perennials. We do not include grass, but if planted ,when warm, dormant grass seed in the soil can take over. After speaking with our Customer Service Team, it seems we were able to assist you with this. Thanks for your time in sharing your experience with us and we hope our tips will help you have beautiful flowers come next season!

Customer photo review of Midwest All Perennial Wildflower Seed Mix

At first I saw a lot of things sprouting and I was pretty excited for a flower garden but as they grew larger and I could identify them with Google image searches im finding that the majority are not flowers and are other types of weeds. I've also got a LOT of grass growing that was never there before so it had to come feom the seed mix. The grass and weeds are covering all of the other things trying to sprout so im worried its not going to take at all.

Midwest All Perennial Wildflower Seed Mix

I planted my first pollinator plot three yeas ago with Midwest all perennial and also added the a/p mix. I have had fantastic germination and variety of color and flowers spring to winter ever since. Two years ago I planted my 2nd pollinator plot, same mixes, and first season was wonderful. This plot has now been totally taken over this year by the black eyed susans. No other flowers. There must have been a huge disproportion of those seeds in the same mix. Very disappointing.

I cleared a large area for this mix after a few solid weeks of pulling everything that was there out. The only blooms I got were the tomato plant buds from an extra plant that I grew. I thought they’d be prolific, but they weren’t. Reviews last year were good. Bummed.

Midwest All Perennial Wildflower Seed Mix

I bought the Midwest all perennial wildflower seed mix and planted this spring. I am excited as my bare plot of dirt is growing, not many flowers yet which is perfectly acceptable. I’m NOT happy bc my flower mix had tall grass seeds mixed in. I dod not want any grasses in my flower bed! And there is a lot! Not just a few stragglers. I’m worried they will take over my flower bed in the next couple years as the abundance is great already super disappointed and unsure what to do about it.

I bought a pound of sowed in early spring. A few flax came up, a couple california poppy which shouldn't be in the mix and a whole lot of dames rocket, an awesome invasive plant. I spent the entire spring pulling the dames rocket and have no wildflowers to show. Don't bother you're better off buying a packet of seeds from the hardware store, germinating in pots and getting rid of the filler weed seeds so many companies are turning to for profit. I expected more from this vendor, but was very disappointed.
