    Overall rating: 4.0 / 5 from 2 reviews.

These are germinating but will they bloom the first year?

    Hollyhock Seeds - Nigra

Store owner replied: Hello Jane. Thanks so much for your review! We're always looking for ways to improve our products and service and this is a great question. This hollyhock seed is typically a biennial, meaning it usually flowers in its second year, after establishing strong foliage growth in the first season. However, with an early start indoors (8–10 weeks before the last frost) or if planted in early spring in warm climates, some hollyhocks may bloom in the first year. It is not guaranteed, but it can happen with the right conditions. For most people, blooms will come in the second year. If you ever have any other concerns or questions, feel free to reach out to us and we'll be happy to do all we can to assist. Thanks again for your review and best wishes for your growing season!
