Customer photo review of Phlox Roots - Blue Paradise

The color of these is very different in person. Even better than the photos! When they start to die back the color fades and they almost look tie dye. They’re a new favorite of mine!

    Phlox Roots - Blue Paradise

Planted these three months ago - nothing has come up yet. Maybe next year?

    Phlox Roots - Blue Paradise

Store owner replied: Hello Mark G. Thank you for writing in to share your experience and we understand being disappointed. With these roots planted in June in Zone 9, they had to establish just as significant summer heat was arriving, which can be difficult for newly planted dormant roots and may cause them to remain dormant or fail to establish. If the crown is still healthy underground, there is a chance it could emerge once conditions improve or return next spring, so leaving the area undisturbed is worthwhile, although we can’t promise that outcome. We are happy we could provide assistance and a resolution and appreciate your willingness to give them another try. An earlier planting should provide more time for the roots to settle in before summer heat and hopefully result in healthy growth and beautiful Phlox blooms next season!

I’m sorry to say this but the phlox never even made an appearance. I planted them per the instructions and I have all kinds of dahlias growing nearby. But the phlox and the lily of the Nile failed to come up.

Store owner replied: Hello Susan G. Thank you for your review and for sharing your experience. We're sorry to hear that the Phlox and Lily of the Nile didn’t emerge, especially after following the planting instructions. We understand how frustrating that can be, particularly when other nearby plants are thriving. These are cooler loving perennials and unlike the warm loving dahlias mostly likely suffered from the summer heat, before their roots had time to get established. From our follow-up with Customer Service, it looks like we were able to assist you, and we’re glad we could offer you a resolution. We thank you for your review as it will help us improve our planting instructions for future customers!

Zone 7A, Virginia Talk about disappointing! I bought 6 roots and planted them as soon as they arrived. Zero grew. There's definitely some things that Eden Brothers sells that grow much better than others. I'm not so sure about Eden Brothers' peony and phlox roots, zero luck with them.

Store owner replied: Hello Susie Q. Thank you for your review for Eden Brothers. We are truly sorry to hear that your Blue Paradise phlox roots didn’t grow, and we understand how disappointing that must be. While many of our products thrive in Zone 7A, root establishment can be tricky depending on planting conditions, timing, and weather. We appreciate your honest feedback and we are glad that our Customer Service Team was able to assist you with this. Thanks for your time in sharing your experience with us!

Live in 8B, none of these came up.
